More On The Woods Apology

The whereabouts and activities of Tiger Woods have been something of a mystery since the incident with his motor vehicle and the golf club at his home in Isleworth, Fla at 2.25am the day after Thanksgiving.

Woods was briefly unconscious in the street, according to police and reports, and he suffered some severe cuts and bruises. His wife, Elin, was said to have broken side windows of the car with a golf club to help him out of the car, but popular rumor is that it results from an intense and violent argument over allegations of marital infidelities.

On Dec. 11, Woods posted a statement on his Web site saying, "I have let my family down" and that he was taking a leave of absence from professional golf. Mr. Woods and his wife are believed to have been living separately in the past three months, but spokesmen for the couple have declined to comment.

On Wednesday, Mark Steinberg, Woods's agent, said in a statement that Woods will break his silence at 11 a.m. Friday in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., at the TPC at Sawgrass course, where the PGA Tour has its headquarters. Mr. Steinberg declined to comment further.
